New: proFRAME Base Board 3.1 PXIe

The proFRAME video grabber and playback system line from Solectrix has gained a prominent new member. With the proFRAME Base Board 3.1 PXIe, now available, proFRAME can now also be used in PXIe-based test systems. PXIe is an open industry standard developed by National Instruments and is mainly used for production testing and machine monitoring in industrial test applications, as well as in the aerospace and automotive sectors.

The industrial-grade proFRAME 3.1 PXIe can be used as a video capture or video replay system for up to eight video streams. proFRAME is the ideal addition to PXIe test systems, especially for automated testing of automotive cameras on the assembly line (EoL testing). But the proFRAME Base Board 3.1 PXIe can also be used in classic proFRAME application areas such as video data logging and HiL testing for the validation of ADAS/AD driving functions.

The modular concept of previous proFRAMEs has been retained, meaning that all available camera adapters (camAD3) can also be mounted on the proFRAME Base Board 3.1 PXIe. Thus it also supports all common automotive protocols such as GMSL, FPD-Link, ASA-ML, A-PHY, GVIF, CSI-2 and can be connected to a wide range of different cameras, ECUs, displays, or matrix LED headlights. The camera adapters can be swapped out as needed, making the system flexible and cost-effective.

On the software side, the proFRAME 3.1 PXIe uses the same drivers and libraries as its two sister products, the proFRAME 3.0 PCIe and proFRAME 3.0 cPCI-S.0. Solectrix also offers users a specially developed DLL that enables the proFRAME 3.1 PXIe to be operated in the LabVIEW software framework.
