All you need is the proFRAME 3.0 Thunderbolt 3 Box*, which is available as a proFRAME 3.0 accessory, and a Thunderbolt™ 3 port on your PC or notebook. This allows your proFRAME to be used with host systems that do not have a free PCIe® slot. Ideal for a simple and easily transportable test system for spontaneous use at a colleague’s or customer’s site.
The proFRAME 3.0 Thunderbolt 3 box has two PCIe® Gen3 x8 slots, which can be used to operate two fully equipped proFRAME systems.

The connection to the host system is made via one of the two integrated Thunderbolt™ sockets on the back of the housing. The external power supply unit included in the delivery provides 120W, which is sufficient to supply several cameras connected to the proFRAME(s) with the necessary operating voltage (Power over Coax). The 6-pin Mini-Fit Jr.™ connector already present in the box can be used here to supply power to the proFRAME.
The software-side operation of the proFRAME is identical to a proFRAME installed directly in the host system, i.e. the same sxpf softare library with the same API is used.

The very compact housing of 16.5 cm x 27.9 cm x 11.7 cm with a weight of 1.18 kg (without plug-in cards) allows easy and safe transport, for example for use at a colleague’s or customer’s site (no removal/installation of the proFRAME 3.0 PCIe card necessary).
