Hans Lang Supplier Award

Awarded for high quality embedded image processing and cooperation based on partnership

In February 2019 we got to celebrate with MEKRA Lang as they were awarded the Daimler Supplier Award in the „Innovation“ category. Just a few months later the new Mercedes-Benz Actros was already on the road as the first series-production truck worldwide to use digital rear-view mirrors – and MEKRA Lang was honoring Solectrix’s essential contribution to the revolutionary mirror replacement system with the Hans Lang Supplier Award in the „Service“ category.

The cooperation between MEKRA Lang GmbH & Co. KG and solectrix GmbH began in the fall of 2016. The stated common goal: The development of an innovative digital mirror replacement system. Since then, three Solectrix teams were busy with the series development project. Intermittently, up to 16 developers were working in parallel on FPGA design, software design, the development of software tests and the hardware for the core module of the system. This makes us even more happy about the great appreciation shown to us with the award on July 4, 2019, at the KKC in Bad Windsheim.

Harald Emmert, Program Manager Electronics at MEKRA Lang, addressing Stefan Schütz, CEO of solectrix GmbH, at the awards ceremony: „As an independent service provider in the development of high-end electronics solutions, Solectrix has been a longtime partner of MEKRA Lang’s. As a development partner we must particularly mention the outstanding range of services in high-quality embedded image processing in hardware and firmware development.“

MEKRA Lang’s Hans Lang Supplier Award is awarded annually to the best suppliers in the categories „production material“ and „service“ for above-average performance and the partner-like collaboration. On July 4, 2019, MEKRA Lang staged its 14th Supplier Day. About 120 partners and suppliers had accepted the invitation to the KKC in Bad Windsheim.

We sincerely thank MEKRA Lang for this high accolade and look forward to further innovative cooperation projects.
